About L Tyrosine
The color reaction of individual amino acids can be used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of these amino acids. There are commonly used Mirren's reaction, when the phenol compound and Hg (NO3) 2 are co heated to make it red, the protein containing tyrosine has this reaction; Pauly reaction, in the alkaline solution, histidine and tyrosine are coupled with diazotized sulfonic acid to make it red.
Tyrosine is a polar aromatic amino acid containing phenolic hydroxyl. Short for Tyr, y. It belongs to the nonessential amino acid of ketone and sugar with tryptophan and lysine. It is produced by hydroxylation of phenylalanine in animal body, and they decompose and transform in a common way. It can be transformed into dopamine, adrenaline, noradrenaline, thyroxine, melanin, opioid base, tyramine and other bioactive substances. The congenital deficiency of phenylalanine hydroxylase, urinary black acid oxidase and tyrosinase in human and animal can lead to phenylpyruvic aciduria, black uric acid disease and albinism respectively. The decomposition products of tyrosine are fumaric acid and acetoacetate.
